Yes. Batteries placed on the Spanish market inside equipment count. You register for the battery stream and declare the batteries contained in the products you sell.
Which SCRAP will I join for WEEE?
Spain has several WEEE schemes (Ecolec, Ecotic, and others). We broker the membership that fits your product categories and volumes — the recycling fees pass through at cost either way.
Is this much more expensive than packaging-only?
Each additional stream adds a flat annual fee and its own (usually modest) scheme fees. For most electronics sellers, full three-stream compliance still costs less than a single day of a compliance consultant.
