How do I estimate packaging weights per material?
We provide a template to document units, materials and weights. The appropriate measurement method depends on the products and scheme requirements, and the relevant scheme may review the submitted data.
Does this apply if I ship from outside the EU?
Yes. What matters is that your products reach Spanish end customers. Whether you ship from the UK, US, or an EU warehouse, you're the producer responsible for the packaging.
What will the recycling fees cost me?
Ecoembes charges per kg per material — cardboard is around €0.12/kg, flexible plastics up to €1.254/kg. A typical small DTC brand pays somewhere between €50 and €300 per year, passed through at cost.
