What exactly may Amazon ask for?
Amazon may request a producer registration number from the Spanish Registro de Productores de Producto and supporting records. If the registry accepts the application, we supply its records for submission. Amazon independently decides whether they satisfy its request.
How long can the process take?
Timing depends on document completeness and third-party processing. The Agencia Tributaria, producer registry, responsibility scheme and marketplace independently determine their review times. We do not guarantee issuance or a completion date.
I only sell a few hundred parcels a year. Does this still apply?
Yes. Spanish packaging EPR has no minimum threshold — the obligation starts from the first parcel. The good news: at low volumes, the recycling fees are small (often under €100/year).
