How do I know my packaging weights per material?
You don't need a lab. We give you a simple template — for most brands, weighing one unit of each packaging type and multiplying by units shipped is accepted practice. We help you build defensible estimates.
Does this apply if I ship from outside the EU?
Yes. What matters is that your products reach Spanish end customers. Whether you ship from the UK, US, or an EU warehouse, you're the producer responsible for the packaging.
What will the recycling fees cost me?
Ecoembes charges per kg per material — cardboard is around €0.12/kg, flexible plastics up to €1.28/kg. A typical small DTC brand pays somewhere between €50 and €300 per year, passed through at cost.
